The list of fanciers who have started their lofts with birds from Anton is long and reads like a who's who of the pigeon world. His stock birds are known around the world.We have in our possessiom, five cocks and eight hens bred by Anton. All are from direct Gaby Vandenabeele birds and almost all are grandchildren of the legendary Wittenbuik. These birds have alreay proven themselves by breeding top birds in their first year at stock in Belgium. No one in the whole of Belgium has had such success in the one day long distance races as Gaby Vandenabeele. Racing a small team, his strain of birds have proven to be tops from the early eighties on. His strain has brought much success to fanciers around the world. In the early years, Gaby used his fathers birds to establish himself. These were bred from Pol Bostijn and Lucien Verstraete and Valere Desmet-Matthijs. Each year he adds by buying the best from his competitors in West Flanders.

In 1981, the Klienen was born and moved directly into the stock loft. He proved himself by imediately breeding the best ever, Picanol, Sissi, Wittenbuik, Fideel and more.

The most important fixture in all of Gaby's birds are there health and stamina. Their ability to fly into tough headwinds is what makes them stand out from the crowd.
