The father, of the father and son team of Jo and Florian Hendriks, has been involved in the racing sport for a long time. His Dad's pub was the home base for the pigeon club. When his son Florian decided that he would like to join, things changed. The enthusiasm and intensity of the son sent the team charging full speed ahead. Wanting to reach the status of super fliers, Florian visited every top flier he could find and has bought the best he could possible get every year since. His main acqusitions were the Gaby birds but upon closer inspection you will find the names such as A & H Reynaert { Figo}, Jos & Jules Engels, Rudi Diels, Eric Berckmoes, Albert Marcelis, G & P Lindelauf, G & S Verkerk, Jan Deliege and more.
Not forgetting the base of their super birds, The Popeye who is a Janssen based bird bred by Florian's uncle, T. Vluggen, all these new birds are crossed with ther own top breeders. This has provided them with race results that we can only dream of. Top positions against birds that number into the 50,000 range. At National Orleans, they had 3rd and 4th against 37,00 birds. In Bloise of 2009, their 1st bird was 12th National against 54,126 birds. Others also excell with these birds. Jan delige won 1st against 35,000 plus birds with a grandson of Popeye. We have won 1st combine with children of their birds. Blue Popeye sold on Pipa for 10,000 Euro, in fact there birds have become such a hot commodity that there is a waiting list for some of their birds. We have had the chance to buy back from fanciers leaving the sport or simply having too many breeders and have jumped at the opportunity. I don't believe you can ever have too many of their birds.
