We all know that being the son of one of Belgium's top flyers does not guarentee that you'll be able to follow in his shoes. It sure does help. When Noel's father, Georges, was forced to auction off his birds because of ill health, Noel was allowed to take a round of eggs from the best flyers. This family of birds built from the best of H. Debou, M. Vandervelde, G. Vanderwege, C. Hooremans, Van Der Espt, R. Van Spitael, Cattrysse, Vanbruaene and Dereere, Noel used as the foundation adding to it over the years some more of the best of Cattrysse and Dereere and also by sharing with the best breeders in West-Flanders.
Over the years, Noel has won or been in the top 5 of an incredible number of championships, International Races, National Races, Provincial Races including this year, where in one week, Noel was 21st and 34th National Barcelona against 11,702 birds. In St. Vincent he was 15th and 23rd against 8,383 birds.
Noel Pieren is one of Belgium's base lofts. Many top flyers come to him to acquire their crosses. Some of the top results are Ramaekers[NL] 1st International Perpignan yerlings and hens, A.Wouters[B] 25th National Perpignan, Van Overwaele-Gabriel[B] 27th National Perpignan, Vandendriessche-Benoot[B] 1st International Perpignan, Plavier[B] 1st National Limoges, Kempeneers[NL] 1st National Brive, B Maes[B] 1st National Barcelona, hens, G Bolle[B] 1st National Dax, plus many others. Many more have dipped into the well and have had much success, such as Saarloos[NL], G.Vandenabeele[B], R.Dobbelaere[B], H. Debaene[B], Gaston Devooght[B], Robert Devos[B], Roger Florizoone[B], R. Vannekke[B], Charles Beceu[B] J Heisack[D], J. Fulgani[D], and so on.
It is with pleasure and an incredible amount of confidence we introduce these birds for your consideration. Their impact will be instant and will be felt for a long time to come.
In 2008, Noel peiren had a year that was amazing. He placed in the top of every National and International race flown. Noel became one of the sports elite fliers. In 2009, even suffering a major set back in an automobile accident and without being able to prepare the birds fully, Noel won 1st International Soustons against 10,947 birds. Even in the Barcelona race, Noel's birds performed well winning in the Gistel Fond Club and placed 58th National. Last year, the same bird was 48th National against 23,708 birds. Fantastic results even without the proper set up. Goes to show, what amazing birds can do.
